Test Principle:S-β-GC (S-β-Glucosidase,EC 3.2.1.21)is capable of catalyzing the hydrolysis of the glycosidic bond between aryl or alkyl groups and glycosyl moieties to produce glucose.It is one of the important components in the cellulolytic enzyme system and plays a vital physiological role in the carbohydrate metabolism of soil microorganisms. S-β-GC can catalyze the conversion of p-nitrophenyl-β-D-glucopyranoside into p-nitrophenol,with the resulting product exhibiting a yellow color and characteristic light absorption at 400 nm.
