CD300C es una proteína de membrana de tipo I de un solo paso que pertenece a la familia de la señalización inmunorreguladora (IRS). CD300C contiene un dominio de tipo V similar a Ig y está presente en la superficie de las células asesinas naturales (NK), granulocitos, la mayoría de las células mieloides, células dendríticas y una subpoblación de linfocitos T y B. Las moléculas CD300C (CMRF-35A) y CD300A (CMRF-35H) son proteínas de superficie leucocíticas homólogas. CD300a y CD300C desempeñan un papel importante en la regulación cruzada de la secreción de TNF-alfa e IFN-alfa de las células dendríticas primarias (pDC). CD300A y CD300C son indistinguibles en la superficie de las células NK. El ligando de CD300C se desconoce actualmente.
